Live Performance Futures: Scenario planning 12-16 months into the future, from spring 2020, and again 12 months later, with a mixed group of practitioners across live events and performance. Including a round of The Polak Game, comparing individual stances vs ‘the future’.
The aim: to collectively map some futures for the live events industry through structured scenario planning to inform routes forwards for us as professionals and practitioners.
The emphasis was on immersive embodied, interactive or tech-expanded practices.
Run in collaboration with Rina Atienza and Lynette Nusbacher, of Nusbacher & Associates Ltd. Lynette has a background in red teaming, devil’s advocacy and structured methods of analysis. She was part of the team that created two of the UK’s National Security Strategies, has been Head of the Strategic Horizons Unit in the UK Cabinet Office and the Devil’s Advocate in Britain’s Joint Intelligence Organisation.
